download one agent app, give it a dedicated folder, connect better research, and ask questions until you actually understand the work. this is the complete setup i give beginners.

START WITH ONE FOLDER

open one app. Codex in ChatGPT Desktop or Claude Desktop is enough to begin without learning terminal navigation first.
create Agent Home. use least-privilege or Manual permissions, leave full access off, and keep sensitive material outside it.
connect Exa. require official sources, dates, links, caveats, and save the useful research.
always ask. keep going until you understand, teach it back, then save the corrected lesson.
finish one useful thing. today should end with one bounded folder, one cited note, one saved lesson, and one working result.
